The AT&T Security Research Center is a multi-disciplinary group of researchers focused on the most interesting security problems in computing and communications. We tackle real-life and extremely large-scale challenges in an open and highly-collaborative environment.
With one of world’s largest cellular and IP backbone networks, AT&T offers researchers the unique opportunity to create a real impact via their research work. The Security Researcher position requires strong candidates who are independent thinkers and come up with new ideas. Successful candidates work collaboratively in small groups, publish their work at top conferences, generate intellectual property, build prototypes, and interact with technical and business units across AT&T. Researchers are strongly encouraged to contribute to the larger international research community.
We are based in lower Manhattan in the middle of many exciting cultural, entertainment, and outdoor opportunities. We are in close proximity to a number of top universities in the NY metropolitan area.
We invite applications from candidates in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, in (but not limited to) the following areas:
- Mobile computing and cellular networks
- Cloud computing
- Networked systems and network-based security
- Usable security and privacy
- Software security
- Data mining
- PhD or MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Proven research experience and a strong publication record
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication (verbal & written) skills
